SnapFormat is a lightweight browser extension that lets you save any image from the web in the exact format you need — without installing extra software or uploading anything to a third-party website.

Normally, when you save an image, your browser keeps whatever format the website used. SnapFormat changes that: it adds a "Save image as" option to your right-click menu, letting you instantly convert the image to PNG, JPG, WEBP, or BMP before it lands in your Downloads folder.

How it works:
- Right-click on any image while browsing
- Select your preferred output format from the SnapFormat submenu
- The image is converted and downloaded immediately

Everything runs locally in your browser using the Canvas API, so your images are never sent to a server. You can also fine-tune JPG and WEBP compression quality from the extension's options page, and add a custom prefix to downloaded filenames to keep your files organized.
